Dear Member,
Please see the attached code of conduct, can we remind all spectators, coaches, players and parents of the club/RFU code of conduct.
During the season we have had a number of reports from Yorkshire disciplinary regarding match official abuse from spectator, coaches and parents. Abuse of match officials and anyone else will not be tolerated. Without match officials we wouldn’t have a game to watch. The referee cannot see everything and generally don’t have touch judges and 4th official to support them, they can make mistakes and miss things as it is impossible to see everything.
We have also had reports of Spectator abuse from West Park members towards our own teams and players. They need your support and encouragement from the side line not abuse and criticism, all of our teams and players from Seniors to under 7s play the game for enjoyment. If you cannot support the teams and players with encouragement then please do not be offended if you are asked to no longer come along an support or be a member.
Rugby is like a family we support and encourage each other.
Regards
Malcolm
Chairman,
West Park Leeds RUFC
